I have been working on the collar.

This is interlined to stiffen it and will be lined in the chequerboard grosgrain silk.

I have sewn the two parts of the stand and the two parts of the fall together ( in the wool), faced them in buckram and then sewn the stand to the fall.

I then sewed the stand and fall lining together in the silk.

I will reduce the seam allowance on the wool  and trim back the buckram in the seam and then sew lining to the wool. 

When the collar is on the coat the silk will be on the outside to match the lapels.
