Merton Park

 Greetings

This another landscape I painted locally.

When I was at Art College In the mid 1980's there was a small park consisting of two disused platforms( for a branch line that no longer existed) at Merton Park Station.

This view was painted standing between the platforms and looking towards the line that was still in use.

The park has since been redeveloped for housing and the active line is now park of the Tram Link to Croydon.

The footbridge was dismantled and was reassembled at Corfe Castle in Dorset as part of their Heritage Line
